How to Search for Machinery

There is a lot of great used machinery listed on Farm Classifieds so what is the best way narrow down your search and find the most suitable machine for you?

Quick Search

The home page gives an option for a quick search, use this to narrow down your options.  You can exclude and POA adverts (we know how they annoy many potential buyers!) and exclude dealer or private ads by selecting the options to your preference.

Advanced Search

For a more detailed search it’s best to use the advanced search feature of the site. This can be found in the menu bar top left of the home page

Click Search and the Advanced Search page will open

This will give a number of options to narrow down your search.

Search by Dealer

If you want to search for a machine at a specific dealer it’s easy.

Go to the “Dealers” page by clicking the link in the header bar

Find the dealer you are looking for either via the search bar at the top or scrolling through the page.  Click the “listings” icon beneath their logo to see their currently available stock

A new page will open showing all the machinery that dealer has for sale.  You can further refine your search using the search box to search that dealers stock only.

You can change your view from the default grid view to list or by location using the buttons at right of the page (arrowed)

You can show locations of machines you are interested in

The number on the location marker designates how many machines are at that location.  Clicking the marker opens the related machinery listings for further detail.

Save a Search

You can save and mange your searches on Farm Classifieds.

When you have created a search use the “manage search” drop down menu to save a new search or load an existing one

Creating Comparison Lists and Favourites

You can tag listings you are interested to create comparison in and add them to favourite lists to come back to later

When on a listing page simply click the bookmark or heart icon to add to your lists

Once you have machines marked with bookmarks or favourites clicking the number in brackets will open a comparison or favourite page.
